About Us

The New York Center of Truth for Better Living, Inc. came into being on February 20, 2000. We are a New Thought Christian Church and a member of the Universal Foundation for Better Living (UFBL), headquartered in Chicago, Illinois. The Rev. Dr. Johnnie Colemon is the Founder and President Emeritus of UFBL and the current President is the Rev. Dr. Mary Tumpkin.

Here at our Center (and all UFBL Churches), we celebrate each month with a spiritual idea, disciple and corresponding color. The spiritual idea for the month of April is Wisdom/Good Judgment, the disciple is James, Son of Zebedee and the color is Yellow.

To empower all people to live the Better Life by teaching them how to develop and use the Divine Presence that is within them.

Our Vision

The New York Center of Truth seeks to be a place of spiritual illumination and transformation for all people and all facets of its community. We teach the practical application of the principles of Truth taught by Jesus the Christ and interpreted in the New Thought Christian Movement with the purpose of empowering all people to live the good life now.
